Saoirse opened Sweetgum in 2011 after nine years at a busy emergency hospital, where she saw too many problems a routine visit would have caught. She does most of our soft-tissue surgery and is the reason every treatment here gets a written estimate first.

Tobin runs our dental days and sees most of the urgent cases that walk in before noon. He has removed more socks from more dogs than he would like, and he always shows you the X-ray first.

Kiyomi sees most of our cats and older dogs. She is Fear Free certified, books cats in the quiet hours and will happily examine your cat on the floor if that is where your cat wants to be.

Ingrid monitors every anesthetic in the building, takes the dental X-rays and trains our assistants. She has been holding nervous dogs steady in Louisville for fourteen years.

Wynona answers the phone, checks what your pet insurance actually covers before you come in and remembers every dog’s name, which is more than she manages for their owners.
