New patient exam
Your first visit,
start to finish.
$72 for a full nose-to-tail exam
About 40 minutes
Same-week times
What happens in your 40 minutes.
Nothing is rushed and nothing happens without your OK. If a test can wait, we tell you in the first twenty minutes.

0-5 min
Check-in
Say hi to Wynona at the front desk. Forms arrive by text before your visit, so there is no clipboard. Dogs on a leash, cats in a carrier.
5-10 min
Pet history
Your vet asks about diet, energy, habits, old illnesses, past vaccines and anything that has changed lately.
10-25 min
Nose-to-tail exam
Eyes, ears, mouth, heart, lungs, belly, skin, joints and weight, with treats and breaks. On the floor or in your lap if that keeps your pet calm.
25-30 min
Findings in plain words
What we found, what is urgent, what can wait and what it would cost. If nothing needs doing, we say that too.
30-35 min
Vaccines & tests
Only the vaccines that are due, plus a heartworm or fecal test when your pet needs one. Results by text the same day.
35-40 min
Your plan & next steps
You leave with a written plan: what is urgent, what can wait, what each item costs and when we would like to see your pet again.
What to bring.
What to bring
Past vaccine records, a list of medications and food, and a fresh stool sample if you can manage one.
How long
Plan for 40 minutes. Yearly checkups after that are usually 30 minutes.
Nervous pets
Tell us when you book. We plan extra time, use a quiet room and can send calming medication to give at home first.
Parking
A free lot behind the building, with a side door for cats so they never wait next to dogs.
Pick a time. We will confirm by phone.
Send a request and we will call within one business day to confirm your time and check your pet insurance.
